یکی از معروف ترین کبوترخانه های ایران زمین، کبوترخانه میبد در استان یزد هست. کبوترخانه میبد به خوبی مرمت شده و امروزه به یکی از معروف ترین جاذبه های گردشگری این شهر تبدیل شده است. کبورتخانه میبد حدود ۴ هزار لانه کبوتر داشته و امروزه پذیرای گردشگران استان یزد است. این برج تاریخی، به شکل استوانه ای و با سبک و سیاق اصیل ایرانی ساخته شده و لانه های پرنده آن همگی به شکل مستطیل هستند. این کفترخانه، در واقع دژی نظامی برای پرندگان محسوب می شد و کاملا نفوذ ناپذیر بود. معماری این بنا، به شکلی بوده که حیواناتی مثل قوش، جغد و … نمی توانستند راهی آن شوند و کفترها را شکار کنند. خط سفید دور بنا هم همین کاربرد را داشته، این خط نه تنها موجب جذب کبوترها به این محل می شده، بلکه از نفوذ خزندگان و دیگر حیوانات به داخل بنا هم جلوگیری می کرده است.
بر روی پشت بام برج کبوترخانه میبد چهار برج کوچک و یک برج بزرگ قرار دارند که در واقع محل ورود و خروج کبوتران از آن جا بوده است. شاید در بین تمامی برج های کبوترخانه کشور، برج کبوترخانه میبد به دلیل سالم ماندن و مرمت خوب آن، امروزه پذیرای هزاران توریست داخلی و خارجی است.
Pigeon tower
One of Iran's most famous pigeons is the Meybod dagger in Yazd province. The Pigeon House is well-repaired and today has become one of the most famous tourist attractions in the city. The motel has about 4,000 pigeon nests and today welcomes tourists from Yazd province. The historic tower is cylindrical and original in Iranian style, and its flying nests are all rectangular. This shelter was, in fact, a military fortress for birds and was completely impervious. The architecture of this building was such that animals such as hawk, owl, and ... could not get along with it, and hunted the skins. The white line was also used, this line not only attracted the pigeons to this place, but also prevented the penetration of reptiles and other animals into the building
There are four small towers and a large tower on the roof of the pigeon tower, which in fact was the place where pigeons came and came from. Perhaps among all the country's peculiar towers, the Pigeon Tower in Maybād, due to its healthy survival and well-being, today welcomes thousands of domestic and foreign tourists
